Pseudonyms
Timothy (who usually goes by Tim) uses a number of pseudonyms online and (occasionally) in real life. While each used to have its own significance, the lines have blurred in the past few years. Whenever desirable names are unavailable, he frequently appends the number 84 to them. Noting that this is not a common suffix, it is quite possible that any username ending in '84' may, in fact, be him.
Current Pseudonyms
- NoMoon (2005): The most recent pseudonym, created as a response to the growing popularity of 'Niko' and 'Taliesin'. First used as an account name for the online photo service Flickr.
- Niko (2001): Originally created to add an Anime flavour to the name 'Nik' when signing up for Neopets. It caught on, and was by far the most popular pseudonym used between 2001 and 2006.
- Niko (aka Tim) (2001): A slight modification, originally for the sake of easy identification by family and business clients over instant messenger programs such as ICQ and MSN.
- Taliesin (1997): Created for situations pertaining to Neopaganism and art due to its rarity (compared to Niko). While still maintaining those connections, it entered general use on the internet and in e-mail among friends and family.
Old Pseudonyms
- Nik (1997-2004): Derived from the word 'Nickname', this (and 'Nik84') was the primary pseudonym used between 1997 and 2001, until it was supplanted by 'Niko'.
- TDV (1996-2002): Used primarily as an e-mail username, these letters stood for 'Taliesin-DriZZt Vieuxâme', a childishly envisioned magickal name.
- DriZZt (1996-2001): The first online name used by Tim, predominantly for online gaming in Team Fortress.
