Nokia Trends is a festival created with music, mobility and multimedia art as integral parts. Targeted towards young people, Nokia Trends started on the beaches of Latin America in 2004 and since then has staged world-famous artists like Moby, Mylo and The Chemical Brothers. Nokia Trends set foot into Europe in 2005, exciting over 10,000 electronic music lovers in Berlin. In 2006, under the theme of “new music, new places”, Nokia Trends stages a range of internationally-acclaimed musical acts to non-traditional music venues throughout Europe.
New Music, New Places
Following the concept “new music, new places”, Nokia Trends introduces upcoming and breaking artists in venues that previously haven’t been associated with this type of music or event. In Paris, Nokia Trends staged Franz Ferdinand in the exclusive Opera Garnier in the summer of 2006.
Music
With music, Nokia Trends brings together thousands of young people to enjoy their favorite bands and experience the latest in mobility with their friends. Nokia Trends brings an exciting mix of local talent and international artists, which combine to create a musical multimedia extravaganza. The music acts come from a diverse range of genres, ranging from rock to electro.
Mobility
Mobility is at the heart of Nokia Trends as it sets the festival apart from many other concerts. Nokia takes every effort to integrate the idea of mobility before, during and after each event. Consumers will be able to enjoy the convenience of mobile ticketing, eliminating the need – and hassle – of paper tickets. Once a Nokia Trends tickets has been ordered, a message showing a barcode is received. Mobility also means that consumers can take a peek at up and coming technology trends, mobile devices and services. In addition, the latest Nokia music products will be showcased.
Multimedia Art
Nokia Trends summons the best VJs in the world to tie together the extraordinary venues and exhilarating music into an unforgettable visual experience. In several events, consumers can join and interact with these performances by submitting pictures taken during the event.
By combining music, mobility and multimedia arts in a very compelling way, Nokia Trends has reached out to more than 300.000 consumers in Europe and Latin America.
