The Nokia 6280 is a 3G mobile phone from Nokia. The Nokia 6280 is the 3G sister product to the 2G Nokia 6270. It has a 262k colour TFT screen with a 240 x 320 (QVGA) resolution. It features two cameras, a rear two megapixel camera with an 8x digital zoom and flash, and a front-mounted VGA camera for video calling only. It also has expandable memory via miniSD memory cards.
For connectivity, it has Bluetooth, Infra-Red, and USB 2.0.
The phone is slightly smaller than its 2G relative, at 100 x 46 x 21 mm in size and 115 g in weight.

The 6280 can play back MPEG ".mp4" video files. Files designed to be played on an iPod can be played back on the phone. AVI files can be translated using software such as iSquint on the Mac or Videora on the PC. During video playback, the audo track tends to stop after about 20 minutes. To get around this problem it is possible to split mp4 files into several pieces, using applications such as MP4Box and YAMB.

Some Nokia 6280 owners have experienced some faults with this model, some may be fixed through a firmware upgrade.

- Loses reception, requiring a restart

- Dust gets stuck under screen
- Slider sticks and is hard to slide in or out
- Dead pixels on screen
- Loose slider
- Mp3 player randomly stops functioning when playing
