Edgar & Ellen is also a series of cartoons on Nicktoons Network. There are 12 two minute shorts that play every day. Edgar & Ellen also hosted Nicktoon Networks' 2005 Halloween Scare-a-thon.
[edit] The Town
Nod's Limbs is a fictional town where the characters Edgar & Ellen live.
It is a way too sweet town- almost creepy in its perfection, like a "Leave It To Beaver" multiplied to 100 and filled with cavaties (like something straight out of a Tim Burton film). Edgar & Ellen spice up life with their mischievous, prankster ways. They toss in the life, originality, and dirt to this little unsuspecting town.
The mayor is Mayor Knightleigh, who is pompous and dead set on keeping his town exactly how he wants it to be. Mayor Knightleigh has a wife (Judith), a son (Miles), and a daughter (Stephanie, who is the cheerleader-like enemy to goth Ellen), not to mention an intern named Bob who doesn't seem to know how to do things right.
The RUNNING RIVER cuts through the middle of the town, but its not very wide and isn't very fast. There are seven covered bridges that cross it, with the words "Welcome Friend To Nod's Limbs Stay Awhile" from one direction and "Come Back Soon And Take Care" from another. There is a good side of town- where most of the stickly sweet Nods Limbsians live, and the "bad" side of town (like across the tracks menatlity, except without tracks) where Edgar and Ellen's mansion resides on a junkyard lot (the twins lovingly call their gadget graveyard). There is also a shack where Heimertz, the groundskeeper, lives.
The Nod's Limbs Gazette is the local newspaper, and can be seen at www.edgarandellen.com/gazette. Fans can post articles there, there are horrorscopes, and there is a main article written by a fictional reporter.
