Nocturnal Opera is the second full-length album by Moi dix Mois and was also a new direction for the band's sound as well, giving the feeling of an actual opera. Nocturnal Opera is similar to the previous album Dix infernal in the respect that it has an intro, outro, interlude, and a remix of the previous single's a-side track.
There is also a two-CD Europe release, which is distributed by the German company Trisol. This edition contains all the singles released previously by Moi Dix Mois which have not made their way onto the albums. It also contains bonus video clips from the Invite to Immortality DVD released prior to his CD digipack. Since it has more than all previous editions, Mana has said, it must not be sold in japan. The artwork on the cover of this digipack is also identical to the previously sold out limited edition.
