NoCGV Ålesund

KV Ålesund is a purpose-built, but leased, offshore patrol vessel for the Norwegian Coast Guard.

Ålesund is named after the city Ålesund in western Norway. She is a 1900 ton vessel with helideck (no hangar) and a Bofors 40mm gun. Ålesund is used for general EEZ patrol, including fishery inspection and search and rescue. She is part of KV Sør at Haakonsvern, Bergen.

KV Tromsø is her sister ship.
