[edit] Episode recap
Big Pussy Bonpensiero and Jimmy Altieri are arrested at a pool hall belonging to Jimmy - Pussy tries to escape by running out an exit but, as he is a large and slow man, he is caught as he reaches the corner of the block. The FBI discovers that a pool table conceals a stash of guns. Pussy later claims his back has been injured as a result of the chase and arrest.
Vin Makazian, a police detective who owes Tony money, and who feeds Tony information, meets Tony outside Green Grove and tells him that he has a rat (informant) in his crew - Vin thinks it is Big Pussy Bonpensiero. Tony later learns that Makazian owed Pussy $30,000 which may call his objectivity into question. Tony asks Vin to provide a copy of the police report naming the informant. However, Before Vin could provide the report he was arrested at a brothel, alongside Soprano family capo Ray Curto. Upon his release Vin drove out to a bridge and committed suicide.
Pussy was bailed out by his wife and then stays at home, nurses his injury, and stops making his collections. Tony visits Pussy to let him know that Pussy has options and friends. Pussy complains of the hardship of putting his children through college. Tony is unsure whether Pussy is an informant.
Tony assigns Paulie to look into the informant issue and tells him to find out for certain and not to act unless he sees a wire with his own eyes. Paulie takes Pussy to a bath facility but Pussy refused to undress, stating his doctor told him heat was bad for his back. Pussy disappears after this encounter, while Tony and others receive information that Pussy's injury may be only in his head.
Jimmy is also released and surprises Tony at his home, and starts asking questions about events in the past. This causes Tony to immediately suspect Jimmy as an informant, rather than Pussy. This causes Tony to verify with Paulie that Pussy has not been executed and inform the others that Jimmy may be the informant.
Junior meets with Livia, who tells him that Tony and other Capos have placed their mothers in Green Grove and have held meetings there. Junior concludes that a plot against him is forming and decides to organize an execution of Tony. He colludes with Mikey Palmice and Chucky Signore to organize the hit. Junior's reasons also include Tony's insults to him regarding Bobbi Sanfillipo and the continuing animosity between them since Jackie Aprile, Sr.'s death.
