[edit] Character
Born in 1997, Noah is the son of Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
The character had seen little air time until the death of his older sister, Cassie (Camryn Grimes), in 2005. After this, his father Nick felt it was his duty to hunt down fugitive Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), whom he believed was responsible for his daughter's death, leaving ten-year-old Noah to be the "man of the house" and comfort a distraught Sharon.
Nick soon returned and the Newman family reunited, but Nick and Sharon began having marital difficulties, causing Noah to rebel. Ultimately Nick and Sharon's affairs with Phyllis Abbott (Michelle Stafford) and Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) respectively destroyed the Newman marriage.
Nick is now living with, and engaged to, Phyllis. While Noah has developed an almost "big brother" relationship with eighteen-year-old Daniel (who is also Phyllis's son), he at first resented Phyllis taking his mother's place and has warned her that her relationship with his father won't last.
However, of late, this has changed. After Phyllis has helped him with some school assignments, and helping him realize that even though his parents are divorced, they still love him, and that Phyllis loves him too, he has warmed greatly towards Phyllis and has begun to accept her as his new mother figure.
