The NOAA Ship Oceanographer was a research vessel of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. She and NOAA Ships Discoverer and Researcher were replaced by NOAAS Ronald H. Brown under the NOAA Fleet Modernization Program in the 1990's .[1]
