No Other Love (1953 song)

"No Other Love" is a popular song.
The music was composed (with the title "Beneath the Southern Cross") by Richard Rodgers for the television series Victory at Sea. When Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II collaborated on the musical play Me and Juliet, Rodgers took his old melody and set it to new words by Hammerstein, producing the song "No Other Love." It should not be confused with No Other Love (1950 song).
Perry Como recorded the song on May 19, 1953, and it was released by RCA Victor as a 78rpm recording (catalog number 20-5317-A) and a 45rpm recording (catalog number 47-5317-A) in 1953, with the flip side "Keep It Gay." It was subsequently released on several other singles and an EP album. The record reached #1 on the Billboard and Cash Box charts in 1953.
