No More Mr. Nice Guy (Freddy's Nightmares episode)

No More Mr. Nice Guy is the first episode of the Freddy's Nightmares TV series. It premiered on October 9, 1988 and was directed by horror genre legend Tobe Hooper and starred Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger.
The episode covers Freddy's trial and subsequent release due to a legal technicality, and the parents of Springwood taking the law into their own hands to execute Freddy. The episode is mainly about how Freddy takes revenge on the police captain who killed him. It is interesting to note that in this episode Freddy is killed by fire in a different way than seen in other movie versions. Gasoline is poured on him and lit aflame killing him.
The episode concludes with freddy killing the officer who lynched him, with dental equitment in a nightmare.
The episode was released by Warner Bros. on VHS Home Video in 1990 and is out of print today, though used copies can still be found, as well as bootleged DVD's at comic and horror conventions. This episode, along with Mick Garris' Killer Instinct, were released as a direct-to-video feature called The Nightmare Begins Again in 1991. Killer Instinct stars Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger and features a young unknown by the name of Lori Petty.
