From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

No. 92 Squadron was a Royal Australian Air Force ground attack squadron. The Squadron was only active for eight months before being disbanded.

No. 92 Squadron was formed at Kingaroy, Queensland on 25 May 1945. While the Squadron was to be equipped with Beaufighter aircraft the first Beaufighter did not arrive until 4 July. After receiving its aircraft the Squadron began flight training but the war ended before this training was complete and the Squadron did not see action. No. 92 Squadron began disbanding in September 1945 and was formally disbanded on 4 January 1946
