618 Volunteer Gliding Squadron is a squadron that has been designed to teach and train cadets from the Air Training Corps (ATC) and Combined Cadet Force (CCF) sqaudrons from all over the London and South East Region of England how to become glider pilots.

Two types of aircraft are used to train the cadets: Grob Vigilant and Grob Viking, manufactured by GROB Aerospace.

The motto is 'We fly harder'
