You should better update the GDP tables not call me a vandal for editing the GDP rankings...Only good resolves...(this message was left by 217.199.126.2 at 23:45 march 2, I thank him for his opinions.)
[edit] Alberto Rios
Gracias for the proper redirect. Could you explain how you did it or alternatively a reference with such explanation? You got to it even before the admin from whom I had requested help. Thanks again.--Beth Wellington 16:29, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Mucho gusto--Beth Wellington 17:05, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
--FYI, I noticed (at least I think I've got this right) that you put Rios in an non existent category--American Authors. It's actually American Writers, with the subcategories American Poets, American Short Story Writers, American Memoirists I'll change it. --Beth Wellington 23:37, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hold on! :)
I realise the poll is to end, but there's no harm in keepin it open: I've asked a few other contributors to weigh in and I haven't yet. Actually, I was going to suggest extending the poll a day or two to allow for more input. I don't think it'll change the ultimate outcome, but stranger things have happened. OK? - Works for me ... thanks! E Pluribus Anthony | talk | 02:01, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

- No problem – I completely understand. Just take a glance at the Infobox Country template regarding inclusion of the UN HDI (an effort which I spearheaded) and you'll note that things often take much longer than desired. However, good things come to those who wait. Ta! E Pluribus Anthony | talk | 02:07, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi there! I hope you're well. The poll result thus far has yielded a result I really didn't necessarily expect (and I'm sure you didn't either) – no consensus. Hmmm. Given this, there are a few options:
- (1) extend the poll – extending the poll another week or two and advertising it more effectively (which we haven't really done) may garner added input and reveal a salient consensus; also, this is painless and may allow more time for us to retrofit the other GDP articles with relevant tables
- (2) close the poll and maintain the status quo – I'm unsure this situation is tenable
- (3) close the poll and choose an option – while decisive, given the current lack of consensus, this is ill-advised and obviates the poll and prior discussions
As above, I recommend option (1). Thoughts? Thanks! E Pluribus Anthony | talk | 22:04, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi there! I've extended the poll – option (1) – to end of day, 15 March. I've been on a wikibreak of sorts (as you may know), but I'll make efforts to advertise the poll in the next few days with the hope of garnering more input and a salient consensus. Thanks again! [edit] WikiProject Countries poll
Hello, having re-read my entry at the poll, I realized that my comment looks quite like a provocation or attack on you, which was not at all my intention. Rather I set out to point out (in my opinion) the inproductiveness of focusing on "bad" actions of the two organizations as a whole, versus the statistical output (and as such, product) that might be useable for Wikipedia. In other words, I thought the discussion was more about the wrapper of a chocolate bar than than the snack to be consumed. Regards, Scoo 09:12, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- I suppose everyone should look in the mirror now and then when dealing with nasty, evil polls ;) I hope a compromise or a final good candidate can be agreed upon. Rather strange that most of the project's roughly 40 members don't seem to be involved in the discussion. Best wishes, Scoo 11:26, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hey
Yeah, I saw her when I was there for National Merit last time. It was kind of cool. She thought I wouldn't remember her. When I voted in the primaries, I saw the only one of my elementary school teachers who still teaches there. It's kind of sad. Oh well, life trudges on I guess.--naryathegreat | (talk) 04:45, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Concordia Newsletter
Community Justice is no more. It has been reformed to Concordia. Membership has been transferred.
Concordia is an organization of editors on Wikipedia that strive to encourage civility and fair treatment among all editors in the Wikipedian community, from the Wikignome to the Wikiholic. The project was designed to have a friendly and helpful environment to support any unfortunate Wikipedians that have become victims of incivility, hostility, or continual disrespect.
We currently need help in getting going, and making the community understand our aims. We work for civility. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you have ideas, let us know at our talk page, or on the IRC channel. We aim to spread civility in every way we can.
Should you wish to unsubscribe to future newsletters, please add your name to Wikipedia:Concordia/Do Not Spam.
Thank you for your time. If you need anything, feel free to comment at WT:CCD or come into our IRC channel [2].

[edit] Concordia Newsletter
Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.
[edit] Help out now!
- Try and help people remain civil! Talk to them, and help them in any way possible. Do not be afraid to use the talk page.
- Give people the Civility Barnstar.
- Make and spread some Wikitokens so people know there are people to help if they want assistance.
- Add banners or logos to your userpage to show your support.
- Suggest some ideas! Add 'em to the talk page.
We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.
[edit] Decision Making
The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.
If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.
