NK Bežigrad is a Slovenian football club, based in the capital, Ljubljana. The club was formed in 2005, following the death of Olimpija Ljubljana. Bežigrad is the name of the stadium and district in which Olimpija played in. NK Bežigrad also play in Bežigrad stadium and are currently playing the first division of the Ljubljana regional league which is the Slovenian fourth flight. The club began their existence in the second division of the Ljubljana regional league but easily negotiated their way through their campaign to clinch the top spot and promotion. Some famous former Olimpija players have made appearances for Bezigrad including Miran Pavlin.
