[edit] History
The Nitro Girls were formed in 1997 by Kimberly Page at Eric Bischoff's request. They were a dance team that danced during commercials on WCW Monday Nitro to entertain the fans. Some of their dance routines made it onto the TV show too. The Nitro Girls would also make appearances at some WCW promotional events. The group disbanded in early 2001, in part due to so many of their members being used in storylines with the wrestlers.
