I found this exact photograph at http://www.coseac.uff.br/cidades/cartaopostal2.htm . I can't confirm it is PD, however. Eugene van der Pijll 22:43, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

I thought it could be "fair use" since it is of low resolution, and is being used in a free service provided by a federal university (it is a public university), and it´s not marked as copyrighted material there. But I was able to find the name of the photographer, and he retains the copyright: Luiz Anciães [3] (I´ll be contacting him soon for permission) Loudenvier 15:14, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
I´ve just received the permission of Luiz Anciães to use the pictures in wikipedia. He allowed to let these low resolution pictures to be used as PD. The e-mail content was:
