The Nissan Versa is a subcompact car from Nissan sold in the North American and European markets. Based upon the Nissan Tiida sold in Japan and Australia, it was originally introduced on September 30, 2004. Built on the Nissan B platform shared with the Renault Clio, it is available in hatchback and sedan form. The Versa is Nissan's new entry level model in North America, while the Nissan Sentra, the previous entry level model, moves upmarket with its latest redesign. Versa models are manufactured in Aguascalientes, Mexico, unlike Tiida models built in Japan.

Nissan has reported a Nismo-trim Versa will be available, including a sport suspension, more aggressive wheel and tire package, along with some distinguishing interior and exterior styling cues. Many Nissan accessories are available for the Tiida, but there is no word yet from the company when they will be brought to North America.

The Versa is listed as a midsize car by the EPA. Sales have been limited by short supply, and many dealers are pre-selling and charging additional markups. Just 2,956 Versas were sold during the summer of 2006.

The Versa is the only car in its class with optional Bluetooth connectivity for electronic devices. Commercials for the Versa are parodies of the numerous Erectile Dysfunction pill advertisements like those of Levitra and Viagra.
