Nishitsugaru District, Aomori

Nishitsugaru (西津軽郡; -gun) is a district located in Aomori, Japan.
As of 2003 (but subtracting population and size now in Tsugaru), the district has an estimated population of 24,033 and a density of 28.9 persons per km². The total area is 831.77 km².

- On February 11, 2005 the town Kizukuri and the villages Inagaki, Kashiwa, Morita, and Shariki merged forming the new city of Tsugaru.
- On March 31, 2005 the village of Iwasaki merged into the town of Fukaura.
