Nishinoomote (西之表市; -shi) is a city located in Kagoshima, Japan on the island of Tanega.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 18,601 and the density of 90.42 persons per km². The total area is 205.71 km².

The city was founded on October 1, 1958.
