Is this a real regional, separatist or historical flag of Ningxia? -- Himasaram 02:52, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

According to crwflags.com, this is the flag used by the three warlords Ma Bufang, Ma Hongkui, and Ma Hongbin, who ruled the provinces of Qinghai, Gansu and Ningxia respectively. The Ma's were a family of warlords originating from Gansu who ruled these northwestern regions for several decades before the communists arrived. -- ran (talk) 15:51, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
