Muhlenbergia schreberi J.F.Gmel. |
Nimblewill (Muhlenbergia schreberi) is a grass species native to North America. It is considered a southern turf type grass and turns brown in the winter. This makes it an undesirable grass for northern lawns. It is shade tolerant and tends to be an aggressive grass spreading throughout a lawn once it gets established. As with most undesirable grasses, the best way to get rid of it is manually raking it out or "pushing" it out through aeration and overseeding with desirable grasses.
