[edit] Early Training and Career

Niles Young initially trained at the Combat Zone Wrestling Academy under Jon Dahmer, Eddie Valentine, John Zandig, and various wrestlers from the CZW roster circa 2002 and 2003. He then debuted with Combat Zone Wrestling in March 2003 in a tag team contest pitting Niles Young and fellow CZW Academy graduate Jude against trainer Jon Dahmer and Cory Kastle. Three months into his career with CZW, Niles suffered a broken nose during a triple threat contest with Jon Dahmer and Grim Reefer.

[edit] CKNY

From approximately January 2004 to February 2005, Niles was part of a tag team in CZW with Cory Kastle. The two were called CKNY, a name representing their respective initials. Cory and Niles used youth and comedic antics in attempts to defeat all who stood in their way. The final performance of CKNY was in Chikara’s 2005 Tag World Grand Prix where they were defeated by Jon Dahmer and DJ Hyde. The two have since parted ways to pursue careers as singles wrestlers.

[edit] The Anomaly

After breaking away from CKNY, Niles adopted the ring name "Anomaly" and began a quest for the CZW Junior Heavyweight Title. An "anomaly," for those not familiar with the term, is a deviation or departure from the normal or common order, form, or rule (also one that is peculiar, irregular, abnormal, or difficult to classify). Niles adorned the name "Anomaly" in hopes to showcase his individuality and superiority among all previous CZW Academy graduates.

Niles' 2005 singles career in Combat Zone Wrestling saw a very memorable fued with Derek Frazier. Derek and Niles battled each other for months to gain contendership for CZW's Junior Heavyweight Title. Derek would be the first of the two to taste gold in September 2005, but Niles would have the last laugh in March 2006 where he defeated 5 other junior heavyweights(including Frazier) in a brutal 6-way Ladder Match for the Junior Heavyweight Title.
