Nikonian

Nikonian or Nikonians refers to people who enjoy meeting and discussing their passion for photography using Nikon cameras. The word is use on various photography websites.
The term also refers to Nikonians.org, a not-for-profit online community for Nikon-using photographers. It attracts over 320,000 unique visitors per month, and has over 66,000 active members (as of November 2006). It aims to help its members "shorten their individual learning curve [sic] and to improve their own photography skills and results while making long lasting friendships across borders and often continents." Nikonians was founded by Bo Stahlbrandt and J. Ramón Palacios (the father of Mexican pop singer Tatiana) April 2000. Nikonians is a registered trademark in several countries by Nikonians.org.
