- Operation Nightfall is a fictional operation in television series 24 (TV series)
- Nightfall is an influential science fiction short story by the late Isaac Asimov, later turned into a novel by Asimov and Robert Silverberg. There have also been two films based on the story.
- Nightfall is the name of a female elf character in Wendy and Richard Pini's comic book series, Elfquest. It is tempting to think that the character may have been named after the Isaac Asimov story, but the Pinis have never confirmed this.
- Nightfall is the first real time 3D adventure game, released in 1998.
- Nightfall Games, creators of SLA Industries were not named after the Asimov story.
- Nightfall is the title of the 1957 movie directed by Jacques Tourneur. It was not based on the Isaac Asimov short story of the same name.
