Night of the Sentinels is a series of 2 episodes of X-Men: The Animated Series. It originally aired on October 31, 1992.

The episode opens with Sabretooth attacking pedestrians, indicating a time of unrest between mutants and humans. Jubilee's foster parents register her under the Mutant Registration Act, an act supposedly designed to help mutants. Sentinels attempt to apprehend her at a local mall, and she is saved by a group of X-Men who happen to be shopping. Jubilee wakes up confused at the X-Mansion, and wanders into Gambit and Wolverine's Danger Room training. She is saved by Storm, who also explains the purpose of the X-Men: to fight for peaceful existence between humans and mutants.

The X-Men discover that the group running the Mutant Registration Program intend to track down and eliminate mutants. Storm is assigned to lead Beast, Morph, and Wolverine into the Mutant Control Agency headquarters to destroy the registration files. The four mutants break in as Cyclops, Gambit, and Rogue observe from the outside. The episode ends in cliffhanger when Storm opens the door to a room where many armed soldiers stand in wait.

Wolverine closes the door because he says he smells gun oil. Storm just enters and blows all of the guards away with her powers outside the other X-Men (Rogue, Gambit, Morph and Cyclops) are having a little trouble, some guards arrive and they have to keep them away from the building. Morph uses his powers to change into a General and orders the soldiers to leave.

Now after Jubilee is captured, Gyrich is interrogating Jubilee about the X-Men when Trask storms in, asking Gyrich what he is doing. Gyrich explains that he is testing to see how to capture the rest of the X-Men. Then Trask states he is the inventor and builder of the Sentinels.

The X-Men destroy the files about all mutants and have to escape. They are running to the Blackbird, but then suddenly... the Sentinels appear! Wolverine is attacking a Sentinel, Morph is yelling Wolverine look out and then Jean uses Cerebro from the X-Mansion sensing what was happenning. The Professor asks Jean what's going on and she says that it's Morph. The Professor takes Cerebro and says he can't sense anything...

The Blackbird returns to the mansion. Storm's crying and the others really look unhappy. Wolverine punches Cyclops in his stomach and says that the next time he'll use his claws. They are almost fighting again, but Jean comes in just in time. Wolverine yells that "soldierboy" (Cyclops) left them behind and that Morph and Beast still could be alive. Jean tells that Beast still is alive, but Morph... Wolverine runs off, angry and sad.

Then a flashback, the X-Men running to the Blackbird and Wolverine attacking the Sentinels. Morph saves Wolverine's life, but has to pay for it with his own. Beast gets blasted against the fences and gets an electrical shock, the others run to the Blackbird on Cyclops command. Wolverine wants to return, but Rogue drains his powers and he loses consciousness, they return to the Mansion.

After they arrived at the Mansion, Wolvervine parks his car on the side of the road and is sitting on the edge of a mountain and says "I will avenge you, my friend. I swear it."

Next scene, Beast is captured within a cage and crying "Morph, he's gone."

On the TV, the President of the United States states that several mutants attacked the Mutant Control Agency and that a counter-offense will be done.

Cyclops asks Wolverine to search for the Sentinel's base and in the next scene Cyclops goes to Jubilee's foster parents' house. The foster father calls to Gyrich to tell him, Cyclops is in his house. Gyrich sends some Sentinels, but later the father regrets his fault and tells Cyclops everything. Cyclops leaves, but is attacked by a Sentinel. Cyclops just blasts his arm off, the wounded Sentinel escapes and the Blackbird follows it. The Blackbird is on its way to the Sentinel's base. The wounded Sentinel goes in the base, but damages the electrical box and all the electricity goes out. Then Jubilee's electrical handcuffs become disabled. Unfortunately she runs into Sentinels... While the X-Men are Attacking the base, and Gyrich and Trask try toescape.

Next scene, Jubilee decides that it's best to stay at the mansion and waves her foster parents goodbye, heading for a new future.
