Night Prowler is the final song on the album Highway to Hell by AC/DC. Additionally, it is the final song recorded with original frontman Bon Scott, before his tragic passing in 1980.

[edit] Trivia

  • Scott was a fan of Robin Williams, and the songends with Scott speaking Williams' famous catch phrase, Shazbot, Nanu Nanu! Which is what the character 'Mork' from Mork And Mindy used to end transmissions to his home planet with. It is rumored that this was the last take ever recorded of him.
  • In 1985 the song was accused of giving Richard Ramirez ("The Night Stalker") inspiration to kill. Eerily, Ramirez's methods resemble the song, however, there has never been a documented case of a serial killer being inspired to kill by music.
  • Contrary to popular belief, the second verse of the song has nothing to do with murder. It was believed by many, to be about someone who sneaks into people's houses and kills them. The verse is actually about a boy sneaking into his girlfriend's house while her parents are asleep. The first verse, on the other hand, is about stabbing someone in the back with a knife while down a dark alley.
