Nigel Glockler

Nigel Glockler, British drummer famous for his staying in heavy metal legend Saxon.
His first musical experience was in Toyah Willcox's band. In 1981 Saxon's drummer, Pete Gill, damaged one of his hands and Glockler, as Saxon old friend, replaced him. He left the band in 1987 to join GTR, a super-group project. He returned to the Saxon fold in 1988.
He left again in 1998 due to persisting injuries and was substituted by German drummer Fritz Randow. In the first 2000 years he recorded a solo album with Saxon guitarist Doug Scarrat, named Mad Men and English Dogs. After Jörg Michael left Saxon in order to rejoin Stratovarius, Glockler come back to Saxon in 2005.
