Nigel Doughty is the chairman of Doughty Hanson & Co, a British private equity firm. He is also the owner and chairman of Nottingham Forest F.C.. Doughty Hanson are a major shareholder in Umbro.

Since becoming the Chairman of Nottingham Forest, it is rumoured that he has invested £34 million into the club, but we only have his word on this. He has actually sold £20 million pounds worth of talent and taken Nottingham Forest to an historical all time low, the third tier of English football.

He is currently trying his hardest to get Nottingham Forest back up, by continuing to leave the running of the club to football expert, Mark Arthur (a Fulham fan), to continue with the fine job he is doing. It could be said that relations between club and supporters is the best it has ever been.
