Niels Bohr Institute for Astronomy, Geophysics and Physics

The Niels Bohr Institute for Astronomy, Geophysics and Physics, as its name implies, is an institute for astronomy, geophysics, and physics research.
Niels Henrik David Bohr founded the Institute near the time when he was appointed a professorship at a University of Copenhagen establishment in 1916. In 1921, the Institute moved into new facilities near Fælledparken.
The Institute is comprised of seventy-six "scientific" staff members, seventy-four "technical" and "administrative" staff members, sixty-two doctoral students, and some foreign researchers and students.
