- I was surprised, too, but apparently it is true - do a Google on "Nicolas Anelka" +Islam and it will pull up a number of news reports from 2004. -- Arwel (talk) 15:35, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
His muslim name is Bilal, but why are you moving the talk page? His name is still NICOLAS ANELKA
- I have removed the name "Abdul-Salam Bilal" from the page, as a google search for Anelka Abdul-Salam Bilal mainly lists Wikipedia mirrors, and includes no notable sources. Please provide a source for the name if/when it is re-instated. Poulsen 20:02, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

- Found this source [1] (The Independent) and have re-inserted. Wikipidian 18:28, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi
As a Fenerbahçe fan,I saw a nameless user changed Anelka's nickname with a Turkish slang word.Anelka made some decisions about leaving the team,so this page can be attacked by hooligans and vandals.I changed it. Best regards--King bugsy 08:25, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- I am also a fanatic Fenerbahce fan and I didn't hear a nickname like the "Silent King" for Anelka. Also Anelka wasn't that much unsuccessful. Actually he is just one of the victims of the Turkish media. Anelka played in 58 matches, scored 16 goals and also performed 16 asists for the team. With respect, Deliogul 21:46, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
