Nicolae Lupescu

Nicolae Lupescu (born 17 December 1940) is a retired Romanian football defender.

He was born in Bucharest and debuted in Divizia A with Rapid Bucureşti in 1962. He remained with Rapid for ten seasons, winning the league title in 1967 and the cup title in 1972. He played five seasons in Austria before retiring.

Lupescu got 21 caps and 2 goals for the Romanian national team. He represented his country at the 1970 FIFA World Cup.
