[edit] Rumour of death

It has been rumoured on multiple Internet sites that Spano might have died in early August of causes listed only as "internal problems", possibly a result of a reported sky diving accident. This started a broad internet phenomenon with heated debates raging on many sites as to whether or not he was still alive.

However, Spano was spotted on the campus of his Rosemead, California high school alma mater, Don Bosco Technical Institute, as a visitor on September 14, 2006, thus he is presumed to be still alive, absent any documented evidence to the contrary. [citation needed]
