From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nicholas "Nick" Smith (born August 27, 1984) is an Australian rules footballer.
Recruited from the Norwood Football Club in the 2002 AFL Draft, Smith debuted in 2003 with the Melbourne Demons in the AFL, playing 3 games for the season and having little game time or impact.
In 2005, Smith started in the VFL with Sandringham but suffered a knee injury which ended his season prematurely.
2006 saw Smith have another quiet year, but with the injury to Mark Jamar, Smith was suddenly recalled for the semi-final match against Fremantle. [1] It was Smith's first game in 3 years, but he could only manage 3 hitouts, as the Demons were knocked out of the finals.
Smith was delisted by the Demons at the end of the 2006 season. [2]
