Nicholas Medforth-Mills

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nicholas Michael de Roumanie Medforth-Mills (b. 1 April 1985 at Meyrin, Geneva, Switzerland) is the oldest child and only son of Princess Helen of Romania and the late Dr. Robin Medforth-Mills. He has one younger sister, Karina.

Nicholas' aunt, Princess Margarita of Romania is childless, so it is in all likelihood that upon the deaths of his grandfather, aunt and mother, he would succeed as the future Head of the Romanian Royal Family. He cannot inherit the throne because his mother is disqualified by the salic law of succession, and because the kingdom is already abolished. Of course it is probable [citation needed] that this law would be revised if monarchy was restored in Romania and he would inherit succession rights at that time. As a descendant of Queen Victoria, he is 84th in line to the British Throne.
