Nicholas Corozzo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nicholas 'Little Nick' Corozzo is a capo in the Gambino crime family. In the mid-1990s Corozzo was tipped to succeed infamous Gambino boss John Gotti as the family's leader. Instead, Corozzo's 1996 arrest on racketeering charges and his subsequent guilty plea lead to an eight year prison term. After his release on June 10, 2004 Corozzo was again widely expected to take the reins of the struggling family. However, he has kept a low profile since his release, and the family is now said to be headed by Jackie 'Nose' D'Amico, according to the respected mob reporter Jerry Capeci. Corozzo is said to have retained his position as a capo, despite health concerns and tight parole restrictions. His brother JoJo is alleged to be the Gambino consigliere.
