Nice is a generic type of biscuit. Arnott's Biscuits Holdings in Australia are one of a number of companies worldwide to produce them.

The name of this biscuit is pronounced as either 'neese' or 'nice'. The biscuit is rectangular with rounded edges and is plain, with a scattering of large sugar crystals and the word "NICE" imprinted on top. Often used as an accompaniment with hot drinks. Nice biscuits in the UK are produced by many manufacturers, but all have coconut as a defining ingredient.

[edit] Name origins

One suggestion is that the biscuit originated from the French sea-side resort, Nice. It has also been asserted that the biscuit takes its name from the initials of its alleged creator: Nicholas Iain Crisp Esquire.
These biscuits have been said by many to be "nice", which is ironic, as the biscuits themselves are called "Nice".[citation needed]
