Keeping the traditional "Flyers" name, the City decided to keep the team alive and enter them at the still-fledging Tier II Junior "A" level. They played four season in the Southern Ontario Junior A Hockey League. In 1976, the Flyers made way for the St. Catharines Falcons whose rights had been bought and moved to Niagara Falls. Bringing the Flyers back up to the Ontario Hockey League level.
