[edit] Second city
Do you think you could possibly sort out your differences with other users on the article's talk page, rather than constantly reverting everyone else's edits? I have no opinion on the matter myself, just noticing the beginnings of a revert war. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 19:19, 2 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry just noticed that you had prompted a discussion on the talk page. Many apologies. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 19:21, 2 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Spanish Translation of the Week
I would like to revive Spanish Translation of the Week. Are you interested in working on it? — J3ff 05:59, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, I really am. I'm sorry that other things sapped my attention from it before. --Ngb 09:09, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Cricket
Hi. You commented on the move of the cricket portal to cricket. Having moved the whole affair back, I have made my own proposal. Could you come and comment, so that we can get consensus for the best version. Cheers, Smoddy (Rabbit and pork) 19:59, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I have made a proposal to create a WikiReader for cricket. Perhaps you could comment at User:Smoddy/WikiReader Cricket on my suggested content. Cheers, Smoddy (Rabbit and pork) 16:21, 14 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Federico García Lorca
You ask (somewhat rudely) in your edit summary for your recent edit to Federico García Lorca, 'What is this with people continually removing citations?'. If you look at the previous edit it was far from obvious that this link was a citation -- it was simply included in the middle of the page with the link text 'Democratic Development and Reckoning with the Past: The Case of Spain in Comparative Context'. That's why I removed it. Now that you've actually made it *look* like a citation instead of an external link in an inappropriate place I have no problem with it. --Ngb 08:09, 14 May 2005 (UTC)
- If you look at the editing sequence, the editor before you turned a perfectly good citation into the atrocity you deleted. I then restored the version of about 24 hours earlier. -- Jmabel | Talk 20:56, May 14, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Los amantes del círculo polar
Hi. You recently moved the page Los amantes del círculo polar to Los Amantes del Círculo Polar. This is incorrect nomenclature as titles in Spanish are not capitalised on any letter other than the first (note that the IMDB, which may be your source, gets this wrong too). I thought as you were an administrator I would ask you first to move it back to Los amantes del círculo polar rather than listing it on Requested moves. --Ngb 16:42, 31 May 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I've moved it back. Note that you could have undone the move yourself; being an administrator wasn't necessary. dbenbenn | talk 19:12, 31 May 2005 (UTC)
- Great, thanks! I thought I couldn't move a page to somewhere where another page existed already, even if it was only a redirect, but obviously I was wrong about that. :) --Ngb 21:46, 31 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Olvera Streeet image
Hello. I'm not sure if you are aware of it or not but your image of Olvera Street could soon be deleted. -Da 'Sco Mon 00:54, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know about the possible deletion of Image:Olvera_st_los_angeles.jpg. Unfortunately I am not prepared to relicense the image for unrestricted commercial use, so it looks like it will end up being deleted. --Ngb 08:55, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] SpaTra
You showed support for the Spanish Translation of the Week. This week es:Conquista de Hispania was chosen to be translated to Conquest of Hispania/Translation.

[edit] Calvin and Hobbes images: fair use?
I notice that you added [[Image:Calvin & Hobbes - Calvin.png]] and [[Image:Calvin & Hobbes - Hobbes.png]] to the Calvin and Hobbes article. You tagged them as fair use, but didn't provide a justification for their fair use according to the guidelines in Wikipedia:Fair use. I am concerned that those images might not actually qualify under fair use principles. Please take a look at the guidelines and either add your justification or tag them to be deleted, as appropriate. Thanks! Alanyst 29 June 2005 19:15 (UTC)
- Hi Alanyst, thanks for the heads up. It was my understanding that images cropped from cartoons and with their resolution reduced (as these are) were suitable for fair use, but reading the Wikipedia:Fair use guidelines you point to I can find no mention of this (they seem to be mostly concerned with photographs). Given this, perhaps they should be tagged to be deleted. --Ngb 29 June 2005 22:39 (UTC)
[edit] Moved part of your discussion on the Cricket match VfD
Hi. I moved your back-and-forth with Bryan Derksen to that VfD's talk page, as it was basically a side discussion to the main issue. Cheers. -- BD2412 talk June 30, 2005 16:23 (UTC)
[edit] Category:UK Wikipedians
Hi, just to let you know that the list of UK participants at the UK notice board was getting rather long, so I have replaced it with the above category which I have added to your user page. -- Francs2000 | Talk 30 June 2005 20:30 (UTC)
