Legislative elections are expected to be held again in Thailand by October 2007 after the military assumed power in the 2006 Thai coup d'état on 19 September 2006.[1][2]

However, Prime Minister's Office Minister Thirapat Serirangsan later announced that it elections might not occur until one year and five months, which would put the election some time in 2008.[3]
