Wikipedia talk:News sources/Internet/North America

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Please note: This page is a subpage of wikipedia:news sources. This page uses a heirarchical system to present news sites in a way which more closely reflects the people of the world. This should hopefully further NPOV within wikipedia. As such there will for some considerable time be subpages with very few links on them. In fact often those subpages will be the most important as they represent countries which are often ignored. Barnaby dawson 18:55, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)

There is no way the Drudge Report represents unbiased coverage. I will remove this link unless anyone wants to voice an opion otherwise within the next few days.

I am voicing an opinion otherwise. Firstly lack of bias in news publishing is partially served by having opposing extreme biases represented. As an example consider "The daily mail" A heavily right wing UK paper and "The Socialist worker" A strongly left wing UK paper. Both should be present in the UK's section (I've just added the socialist worker). Secondly I don't see what bias you're referring to. See this report into media bias in America. I must confess that I consider most reporting in America to have a heavy right wing bias but this site does not seem to be any more right wing than many others. I have now copied these links to various pages in the News sources hierarchy depending on the country in which the organisation is based. The drudge report link is under the US section of the America and Oceana subpage. Further to having done this I have blanked this page and it may imho be deleted.Barnaby dawson 13:09, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
