Newtown Elementary School opened in 1995. The population of the school is about 800-875 students per year. It houses kindergarten through sixth grades. Newtown Elementary has 50 full time employees and 10 part time employees. The school privides various support and enrichment services. The Newtown Elementary community is predominately middle to upper middle class. The racial make up of the school is mostly white with a small percentage of African –American students, and a small, but growing Asian population.
