Newton Township, Trumbull County, Ohio

Newton Township is one of twenty-four civil townships in Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. It is located in the southwestern portion of the county, and borders or touches the following other townships and municipalities:
- Braceville Township, on the north;
- Windham Township, Portage County, on the northwest (touches, but does not border);
- Paris Township, Portage County, on the west;
- Palmyra Township, Portage County, on the southwest (touches but does not border);
- Milton Township, Mahoning County, on the south;
- Jackson Township, Mahoning County, on the southeast;
- The village of Lordstown, on the east;
- Warren Township, on the northeast
Newton Township is formed from the Connecticut Western Reserve. The city of Newton Falls is located within this township. The city is part of the township, so city residents can vote both for members of the city council and for township trustees.
As of 2000, there were 9,524 people in the township, including Newton Falls residents. Newton Township covers an area of 25 miĀ².
