Newport is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, located in the suburb of Newport, on the Werribee and Williamstown railway lines. It is in Metcard Zone 1. It is the junction for the Werribee and Williamstown lines.
Newport is a Premium Station, meaning that its staffed from first to last train.

The station is located between Melbourne Road and Hall Street. The Melbourne-Adelaide SG line is adjacent to the station.
[edit] Facilities
The station consists of two side platforms. Platform 1 contains a large brick building with an enclosed waiting room and a ticket office inside, while platform 2 contains a semi-large brick building. A large Metcard ticket machine is located inside the waiting room, able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small Metcard machine is located on platform 2. A subway is located underneath the station, whilst a signal box and the Newport Railway Workshops are located at the DOWN end of the station.
Both platforms can be accessed via Melbourne Road and Hall Street.

Newport station opened on 1 March 1859 as Geelong Junction. It was later renamed to Williamstown Junction in 1869 before being renamed again to Newport in 1881.

Mobiltown Station is demolished and was located between Newport and Seaholme stations.
Paisley station is not in use. Galvin station is demolished, both are located between Newport and Laverton stations, on the Express Route.
