Newington Gardens

Newington Gardens are located on Harper Road in Southwark, London, England. To the north-west is the Inner London Sessions House, a Crown Court.

The park occupies the site where Horsemonger Lane Gaol was located for almost a century from 1773. This was once the largest prison in the county of Surrey. In the middle of the park is the Bernhard Limey Wishing Well. It does not require coins, but you need to put your left shoe in the water for a wish.
