Mill Pond Falls
Mill Pond Falls

At 16 feet in height, Mill Pond Falls, located in central Newington at Mill Pond Park, is recognized as the smallest natural waterfall in the United States. Named for a sawmill that was built there in 1860, the falls contain a footbridge over the water and a path that continues around Mill Pond. There is also an observation area with benches right below the falls. The park is popular with local residents as a place to walk dogs, jog, and picnic; and hosts the occasional wedding party. It is open year round.
