Newcastle Stretch

The Newcastle Stretch refers to the beaches and surfing breaks along the coast of Newcastle, New South Wales.
Listed from North to South the beaches and breaks are as follows:

- Horeshoe Beach
- The Harbour- refers to the breaks that form on the northern side of the southern breakwall, and the bar of the Hunter River.
- The Wedge- the breaks that form on the southern side of the southern breakwall.

- Nobby's Beach - southern side of the man-made ithsmus between Flagstaff Hill and Nobbys Island.
- The Groper - the breaks that form on the northern end of the convict pools, south of Nobby's Beach.
- Pete's Reef - the breaks that form on the southern end of the convict pools, north of Newcastle Baths
- The Cowrie Hole - break just off the Newcastle Baths, well known due to a house of the same name on Shortland Esplanade.

- Flatrock - breaks towards the northern end of Newcastle Beach.
- Newcastle Beach
- South Newcastle Beach - beach adjacent to the South Newcastle Beach Skate Park.
- The Bogey Hole - beaks adjacent to the convict made Bogie Hole, below King Edward Park.

- Susan Gilmour Beach - isolated beach, accessed around the northern headland of Bar Beach, or down a disused pathway from the Bar Beach carpark.
- Bar Beach - beach adjacent to the Cooks Hill SLSA.
- South Bar - breaks along the southern end of bar beach, at intersection of Memorial Drive and Helen St.
- The Cliff - breaks between South Bar and Dixon Park Beaches.
- Dixon Park Beach
- Pogonowski's (a.k.a Poggo's) - the break between Dixon Park and Merewether Beaches
- Merewether Beach

- Ladies - small beach directly south of the Merewether Ocean Baths
- Burwood Beach - south of Ladies, adjacent to Murdering Gully and the Burwood Beach Sewerage Treatment Works.
