Newbridge (Wales) railway station

Newbridge railway station serves the towns of Newbridge and Blackwood, Gwent, south east Wales. The station is currently closed but there are plans to re-build the station on the same site as the old one in late 2006.
The proposed location for the station is the site of the former Newbridge station between Bridge Street and High Street.
The proposal is for a two platform layout with a Park & Ride facility and a footbridge over the railway line. Bicycle storage cases at the station are also part of the plans
