Newbold Verdon

Newbold Verdon is a large village and civil parish in the Hinckley and Bosworth district of Leicestershire, England.

Newbold Verdon has a small County Council library, a primary school, several shops and a number of pubs the old white swan,the jubile and the windmill. The village is served by regular buses from Leicester- 152 153 154.

It is situated to the west of Desford and to the south-east of Barlestone. Other nearby places include Cadeby, Osbaston, Market Bosworth and Kirkby Mallory. There is a park situated opposite the primary school. There is a another park called alans way playing field also known localy as the 'adie' where Newbold Verdon C.C. play against local rivals including the cottages of hunts lane. There are field around the back of Newbold and you can see Bragate park and 'old John'. there are cows also sheep in the fields most of the year
