The New Zealand Public Service Association (PSA) is a large trade union that deals with about 40,000 employees in the public sector, such as health care, education and local government jobs.

The PSA is funded by a small fee that is taken out of an employees wages. Many organisations pay all employees at PSA negotiated rates to discourage people from joining unions.

The PSA is affiliated with the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions, and Public Services International.
